Gemma Weekes
Touted in The Independent as ‘a name to watch’, Gemma Weekes is critically-acclaimed author of Love Me (Chatto & Windus), multidisciplinary artist, singer, musicmaker and poet who has performed nationally and internationally. Her work has appeared in several anthologies and literary journals including IC3: The Penguin Book of New Black Writing in Britain (Penguin) and Kin (Serpent’s Tail), Mechanic’s Institute Review 14 , and most recently in Filigree (Peepal Tree Press) and she was recently shortlisted for the Bridport Flash Fiction Prize. She has written for theatre, TV and radio and has musically scored various dance projects and short films.
